Gallery 2 ▪ Marie Zimmermann

 

Candlesticks, pair, gilded, with large eight-lobed base, where the lobes are made to resemble petals, slender stem made of three thick wires that are twisted at top and bottom, flattened spheres at top and bottom of stem, wide spreading pear-shaped bobeche with six petals radiating outward around edge.  Petals top and bottom have chased central vein.  Hammered surfaces.  12-1/4" H and 5-1/4" W at base.  Marked:  MARIE ZIMMERMANN, MAKER [circular mark] / 76~
