Carence Crafters page 3 -- The most common and recognizable Carence Crafters items are its trays. These were probably made as decorative objects rather than utilitarian ones, but some of the trays below show quite a bit of wear and abuse. They were made in copper, brass, and German silver.
Carence Crafters trays were made in a variety of sizes. The brass one (left) is
unusually large, while the copper one (right) is atypically small.
Trays are most often found in roughly 9" x 5" and 5" x 5" sizes. The large and small trays shown above are unusual. Note -- all the large (11-3/4" wide) trays we've seen have "pie-crust" worked edges. And the two large trays shown below have decorative images that are acid-etched (rather than the backgrounds).
