▪ Kalo Bowls ▪
Kalo model 5811 bowl with applied monogram. The Kalo Shop produced dozens of bowls, but the model 5811, or "Lotus bowl," was its most popular, and became a Kalo trademark. With its lovely convex, tulip-like lobes that tapered in at the top, and were decorated with heavy curved applied wire, and its small wide self-foot, this object is a classic Arts & Crafts icon. Some models like this one had striking applied monograms. This has an unusual brief Kalo mark. 9" W and 2-7/8" H. Marked: STERLING KALO / 5811
